Another Manly Granny

Oh, Autumn can’t get here fast enough for us in Central Florida. So, to help usher it in, I’m already lighting apple cinnamon scented candles, washing my favorite plaid shirts, and whipping up more of these giant, manly granny squares. With this one I pulled out all the colors of fall I could find in my stash.

I could see firewood, hints of evergreen trees, small hints of coming snow fall, freshly ordered coal, brick fireplaces, and smokey grey skies. I love this piece, I really do. Perfectly suited for a log cabin in the woods. You know the type. A one room beauty with a bear skin rug beside a roaring fireplace, with a big pot of stew always seemingly simmering, and black coffee percolating with a “plop pop” next to the sound of a “crack crack” from sappy pine burning. Ah, you can almost smell it…..

I was taking pictures and just couldn’t resist showing this one when Bacon decided to show up and photo bomb 🙂 It measures 62″ squared (about 5 feet by 5 feet) and made with acrylic and ready to ship with a signed card by me. If you’d like to have it, click here. Naturally, there is only one.

I also have another one of these Bubble Bear and Blanket sets done in a lacy pattern perfect for your darling little one. Also made with acrylic and ready to ship. You can find that gorgeous gift by clicking here.

Ok! I’m off to work on another manly granny. Loving this. REALLY having fun with this! I hope you are, too. Have a good day everyone!

  1. I envy your completion rate! Other creations take me away form my hooks and needles and I miss it. But those others bring in the dough, so no contest! Love the many squares!
