Under The Golden Rain Tree

Was outside embroidering today. It was so beautiful I decided to lay on the grass, stretch out and nap. Looking up above, I was so amazed by the sight of the bright blooming of the golden rain tree that I had to take a picture. Such a declaration of spring. Such beautiful delicacy. I’ll have to embroider this one day ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Gregory, you make me miss home so much. Your writings about the random plants and grass, the warm sun, the Golden Rain Tree are so real to me. I grew up until I was about 59 in central Florida (Dade City and Polk County) and then moved to Kentucky. I am SO homesick. We used to go into Orlando to Little Vietnam and eat at a place called Viet Garden, the shop at the grocery across the street. I love some Pho. Thanks for the warm memories.

    1. I live at the absolute tippy edge of Little Saigon, and yes, the pho is abundant! We have it at least once a month. There is something a little magical about this part of the world, and this little corner of Orlando. Thank you so much for reading my blog. I truly appreciate that. ๐Ÿ™‚
